Ninja_Sher
For those of you live in Canada and watched the series 'Canada a peoples history' on CBC, do you think it would be interesting to have a game of this documentary.Well if yes, here is my idea. There would be four major Campaigns : The Natives' Campaign, The French Campaign, The English Campaign and in the end the Revolutionary Forces' Campaign. The gameplay would not be like that of normal RTS. You would have to train your normal villager into a fighter or a peasant. to get more villagers you would have to give them families and in time the population would grow. The nicer and richer the city/village the better the growth rate. The different civilizations ( four here ) would have different types of formations and different weapons. Although they could have some common ones. Also the battle should be more realistic and would have the concept of 'Morale'. There would be also trade otions and diplomatic options. Perhaps a few ghosts for fun ;D and some other cmmon RTS features.
Vanguard3000
Why ghosts? And why link it with the documentary?

Andrew
Surprised they havn't made a game based soley on the Canadian history. But then it might not sell well.Although colonization is a good game :)http://www.the-underdogs.org/game.php?id=210Wish they would release an up to date version. :(

The Govt. subsidize it so that everyone could play it ( hey the subsidized stupid cartoon named 'Arthur', not that stupid though ).
Alexander_Ordos
doh! There's a similar game already called American Conquest. It was made by the same developer as the cosscaks - GSC Game World. Anyway it's about colonisation. You can choose to fight for the natives, or for the conquistadors. The game roxx, and it's 100% historical! ;) www.americanconquest.com The game features 12 nations: USA, England, France, Spain, Aztecks, Mayans, Delavars, Sui, Ink Empire...and more. Alexander_Ordos
Historicaly accurate...well...there're alot of games actually Aoe2, Total War series, the games I mentioned before - they all have history accurate campaigns. And in Cossacks you can even play historical battles in multiplayer. And they are historicaly accurate. Simply, the army that historicaly lost the batttle has goals like "Hold that point for 5 min" etc...

Bi-lalKaifa
Why not a one about england's history of stealing other people's countries with the cunning use of a flag? Or in the case of India, a motherload of money.

As a matter of fact if you can buy their leaders or lawmakers you could probably rule most of the world ... except Japan they are too much honorbound and fanatics to keep their country free. Barbarossa
I would buy an RTS based on Canadian history, Maybe it could be set up like AOE 2?Just as long as the player could Be a canadian commander during 1812 when the american invasion was tricked into retreat by a bunch of Canadians in British uniforms. ;D
