BLplayer
When I run setup from a networked drive I get an error:"unable to locate the necessary files" - Can't install directly since the computer (laptop) doesn't have a CD drive.Any suggestions? gryphon
locally map the shared network drive as a local drive.Resuling in you being able to access it as D: instead of computer2dune2000share. [ paths used are examples ]Not shure which version of Windows you are using although it should be possible with all versions. Usually it's called map network drive. It should work then . .. . BLplayer
I tried that i had it mapped on E: (all earlier letters in use.Is there a way to configure the installer to look for E: instead of d:?
gryphon
Why is your installer looking at D: ?Did you have it installed on that computer before, and by any change installed it from your D drive that time ?
BLplayer
No, i want to install it on a laptop (no CD drive). I get to the install screen (using the mapped drive) and then I can't get any further.Sounds like i'm out of luck. Thanks anyway....BL
Andrew
You say it is looking for the drive D: but on the other computer the drive is E:, if you were to rename that drive to D: then it might work. :-
