so my question is can we have higher map size? afaik maximum is 128x128 i managed to hack the map editor and create 200x200 map but it was crashing game map editor was spewing out random buldings/units at edge of th hacked map but what i could remove i did but game was still crashing so i guess dune 2000 dont have support for higher size maps? or maybe we didnt find way yet to make bigger maps? im just curious because on other WW game "red alert 2" we could do enormous maps. even red alert 1 after some "hacking" was able to play on bigger maps,...i know that red alert 1 shares some code elements with dune2k but dune2k doesnt seem to work if you make bigger map.
Dear community, i would be appreciate if anyone could help me with importing a map into the editor of RT2. So far I have: - created a greyscale map of my area 320x320 - converted it from jpg to pcx - import it with the map editor, size it 320x320 -> get crashdown has anyone experience with this? I'm considering buying RR Tycoon 3 and porting my US History scenario to it. I'm wondering how similar (or better) the map editor is. From a few quick searches in this forum, I've already inferred that instead of just four of each type of variable, there are more, perhaps 9 (e.g. PlayerVariable1 through PlayerVariable9). However, I've been unable to find discussion of other parameters. For instance, how many territories can I create on a RRT3 map? I also can't find an RT3 editor manual. If it is available for download, could someone please point me at it? Thanks!
