Tileset » Arrakis Release » 2001-10-24 Players » Two Map Size » 80 * 80 Additional Info » Small Arrakis map with... tada... only one base rock, but its not connected all the way. Anyway you can extend your base to enemy base later in game and have intense turret fight or you can just march to spice and then attack with your troops from your enemy's backdoor. By the way unlike my previous maps, I added AI zones for this one so it is can be played skirmish too. -

Tileset » Arrakis Release » 2001-10-17 Players » Two Map Size » n/a Additional Info » Two bases are essentially side by side, but the only way by land to the enemy base is through a corridor right between the two bases that runs parallel. This means there will be artillery along the canyon walls, and getting any form of units through will prove very difficult. -

Tileset » Arrakis Release » 2002-05-23 Players » Two Map Size » 128 * 96 Additional Info » The two rock plateaus in this region were once used by the Guild as testing grounds for new weapons. When they left, they didn't dismantle all their experiments. Two prototype Guild weapons can be found on small rock outcrops next to each of the two plateaus... -

Author » Eric van Gasteren Tileset » Arrakis Release » 2002-09-20 Players » Two Map Size » 144 * 208 Additional Info » My first map with the following background: Long ago a fight took place in this region between the Fremen, Harkonnen, Ix, Tleilaxu, Sardaukar and the Guild. At least that's what the remnants of these houses tell. It's unclear who else was involved. But now there is peace, the desert sings her own tunes again. But for how long...? Nobody knows. Exploit all the nooks and crannies of the area and use what you find to your advantage. Especially infantry can be deployed in a variet -

Tileset » Arrakis Release » 2001-11-18 Players » Two Map Size » n/a Additional Info » This is a map for those that like intense battle from the git-go and lots of crates laying around. One thing I like also is that the various infantry units can climb the rock towers. Real good for pure infantry battles. (too much spice but ... too much is never enough!) -

Tileset » Arrakis Release » 2003-01-14 Players » Two Map Size » n/a Additional Info » The Fremen Wastes have been rebuilt thanks to Dr. Kynes and an elite group of dedicated Fremen. There are, however, two nearby bases that continue to disrupt his experiments and their peaceful way of life. Protect yourself from the enemy and harvest plenty of spice. The sale of the spice will help the good doctor continue his work to improve the living conditions on Arrakis. -

Tileset » Arrakis Release » 2001-10-13 Players » Two Map Size » n/a Additional Info » What could possibly be the first map released made using the Map editor Westwood gave to the community is a two player map with a Fremen encampment in the middle of the map. There are several things to note about this map, firstly, it's played at night. Secondly, it is fairly small, and each side is separate from the other, this means that if a sandworm appears on the map, it'll be one either your side, or your opponents. -

Author » kreigzeit Tileset » Arrakis Release » 2001-11-04 Players » Two Map Size » 128 * 200 Additional Info » There are a couple of things I don't like about this map, and I may redo it if people think its fun. These are mostly just look and feel issues but do not affect gameplay. Its basically a 1 on 1 map, you can play against the computer. I played against the computer and found it moves well throughout the map but doesn't expand as much as I would like. The dustbowl looks weird, not sure why, I will research and fix it on my next map. I did this map because I haven't seen anything like it -

Note: There is no colorwash, this is intentional in order to keep the friggin download smaller. Please copy the default colorwash from any of my previous maps or from the map editor to the maps directory to make it look a lot better. Greets to all the old timers. Author » Walt Huber Tileset » Arrakis Release » 2001-10-29 Players » Two Map Size » 104 * 152 Additional Info » A medium size map for two players. There's plenty of spice, but its easy for an opponent to interfere with any activity going on in the sand. Each rock platform has lots of room, but they be closed off only with difficulty. A good map to use infantry, and Ordos may use the Dustbowls to some advantage. A quick rush may work if the enemy isn't prepared. -

Author » BeHe Tileset » Arrakis Release » 2001-10-20 Players » Two Map Size » n/a Additional Info » A Mm sized 2 player map with limited spice except for two blooms in the middle of long deserted villages, theres limited space on the original start positions so plan your building carefully. Of course you could try and expand to the ridge running across the middle, but beware there are multiple ways across this ridge and you might find it hard to hold. -
