While looking for some stuff for Emperor Harkonnen a while back, I came across quite a bit of interesting dune-based fan art. With the re-emergence of TMA's amazing artistic skills, I figured it would be nice if we made a compilation of links to Dune art.
Digital Meltdown (artwork pages 1,2, and 3 have Dune stuff. The rest are also pretty neat)
Second Reality (3D gallery, page 1)
David Martin
Kelly McLarnon
José I. Lago
Anthony Hightower (illustrations pages 5 and 6. Dune CCG stuff)
"Mohawk" (from the February 1964 issue of Analog)
----------Added February 2----------
Sophie SoMK M.Klesen
King of Pain: Paul Atreides (A few pictures by various people here)
The Wandering Souls Gallery ("Paul Atreides 'Muad'Dib'", by Dalmatius, is at the very bottom)
Michael Stribling (Check out Mr. Stribling's website for some neat non-Dune stuff)
Caroline Cronshaw (Two nice anime-style renditions of Miniseries characters)
Carol Heyer (Four pictures from the Dune CCG)
Randy Asplund (More Dune CCG stuff)
Val Meyerik (More Dune CCG stuff)
Duniclopedie (Marc-Laurent Magnier; Baptiste Penel. This site ahas some really neat stuff, even if you don't speak French)
----------Added February 8----------
Darek Smith (Sketchbook page 7)
No idea (Taken from This site. I'm not totally fluent in French, but I can't find any image credits.)
Diesel Power
mARTina (look in the "Inspired By" gallery)
Court Jester Creations (in the pop-up window, go to Images (the camera icon on the remote) -> CGI Stills, then marvel at the 3D render of Lynch's Atreides ornithopter cockpit, and some stuff from various Westwood games)
----------Added February 16----------
Frank M. Leweke
Goodbrush (Some of my favourites so far. Gallery pages 2, 4, 8, 9, 19, and 24, although I highly recommend looking at his other stuff, too.)
John Schoenherr (Very famous art, used in The Illustrated Dune and the Dune calendar.)
----------Added April 18------------
P.S. Cargile (Some nice sketches of an ornithopter and a carryall, with some interesting speculation as to their design.)
----------Added July 11------------
Barend-van-der-Walt (A pretty neat House Atreides banner)
Kalman Andrasofszky (A really cool Paul Muad'Dib with stillsuit and thumper. The thumper looks amazing.)
----------Added August 27, 2004------------
Mark Zug (Click on the Dune link to see his Dune illustrations.)
----------Added October 17, 2004------------
Dune FilmBook (OrLoK's Dune art website. A very well done website.)

Wow! Great job finding those Vanguard.
I really liked the Christmas on Arrakis from Digital Meltdown. lol
Also I thought the illustrations from Anthony Hightower were relly good.

I've added some more stuff to the list. I have a few more galleries bookmarked, but their server is down, so there's no point in my posting them just yet.

I propose that this should be added to the thread "A list of all Dune book and related work", so that we centralize all this in one single place. All I wonder is how to organize all this correctly.

It would be "Fan Inspired Art" stuff?
Maybe we should also add the Dune webpages, or at least provide a link to the thread. I think make a link to the thread, as people could contribute to that thread hopefully, and not the "all dune work" thread. (would get bunched up)

I was thinking of doing that, but I think that, while I'm still finding stuff en masse, I'll keep it a separate thread, so people can see new stuff as it is "discovered".

Added a few more. Unfortunately, some of the galleries I found were lost. They were from an artwork-server that was recently overhauled, I guess, and some of the galleries are gone.

For the french website you have to go to Divers (under warcraft III) and you have to select galeries.

Have you checked out some of the stuff at dunenovels.com Van?
And perhaps this thread should be stickied.

Leto: Yes, but the gellery doesn't have any Dune images at all, let alone the image credit for the artwork I posted.
Inoc: The only artwork I can find there is the John Schoenherr collection. Is that what you're referring to, or is there more?
And I'd rather keep from having too many threads stickied. I might sticky it sometime in the future, but for now, while I'm still collecting stuff, it should be okay with just bouncing around.
Oh, and by the way, if anyone has any more fan artwork, feel free to add them, and I'll edit them into the list I have so far.
[edit] Oh, and I've added three more galleries, including Schoenherr's stuff.

Very nice; I assume you have permission to post that from Filo?
It's a good image. It's simple, but it seems to say a lot. Anyway, I would think that would be better off in FED2k's artwork page, which I should really link to here.

Nice picture, he looks retired enough, however i imagine him as somewhat more tormented (i concede to depict torment is harder than to depict isolation).
